Evac+Chair Certified Emergency Evacuation Chair Operator Training Course
Having an Evac+Chair on-site is a crucial part of any emergency evacuation plan, but you'll also need to ensure that staff or other delegates on your premises are qualified and confident while operating it. The Evac+Chair Certified Emergency Evacuation Chair Operator Training Course includes a qualified Evac+Chair expert teaching a course in your building, providing 2 - 6 delegates with full training and certification on the operation and storage of the Evac+Chair products in your evacuation plan.
Please note: Training can only be carried out using Evac+Chair products serviced or purchased within the last year. Depending on the location of your premises, additional travel costs for your Evac+Chair specialist may apply.

Aims of the Operator Evacuation Chair Training
- To ensure that all candidates complete the course and achieve a level of competence that will inspire others to use the Evac+Chair confidently under any conditions.
- Provide competent Dedicated Evacuation Chair Operators to provide assistance to the mobility impaired, enabling them to reach a place of safety in the event of a fire or other emergency.
- To ensure that you meet your obligations and be kept up to date with new regulations and are adequately trained in Emergency Escape Procedures for all, including the mobility impaired.
Who Will Conduct the Training?
The Evac+Chair Operator Training Course is presented by an Evac+Chair training specialist, and all delegates will receive reference and training materials. Upon completion of the course, all delegates meeting the training standards will be certified and deemed competent for their roles.
What Will Be Required for the Training?
The following requirements must be met in order to complete training at your location:
- One stairway for demonstration purposes. It must either be unused, or wide enough to accommodate any regular traffic.
- At least one Evac+Chair purchased or serviced within the past 12 months
- All students must be fit for training, meaning:
- Not in a state of pregnancy
- Wearing appropriate practical clothing and shoes
- Not suffering from any from of injury
- Not suffering from a disability, long-term illness, or any other health problem

- Delegates must have a function within the organisation which permits them to focus on the effective use of the Evac+Chair in an emergency
